Provides technical leadership for staff and work teams or task
forces , particularly on emerging areas within specialized functional
or process areas. Coordinates the delivery of client service (internal
and/or external clients) to maintain client satisfaction and identify
performance gaps as well as new or emerging needs. Understands

Chain operation within the customer team
Responsible to identify, plan and manage Supply Chain activities to
meet CT financial targets and responsible for CT demand volume
(HW/SW) planning
Contributing to resource planning and to all Supply Chain tasks in
daily business, e.g. constraints solving, escalation management
Execute :
Evaluate Supply Chain requirements (Gate 2/ LG 200): Decide early
logistics involvement, evaluate case (e.g. capabilities, trade
compliance, logistics cost), create start-up checklist, consolidate
logistics summary
Plan supply chain execution (Gate 3 / LG 300): Derive SCM e2e
scenario, identify & obligate case specific logistics experts, prepare
initial supply chain concept, draft logistics annex, update start-up
checklist, consolidate logistics summary for offer negotiations
Finalize supply chain execution plan (Gate 4/ LG 400): Update
logistics concept, logistics annex, volume plan and start-up checklist,
consolidate logistics summary for deal decision
Establish supply chain execution (Gate 5/ LG 500): Check contract
type for implementation activities, check risks, implement supply
chain structure, initiate supplier contracts (e. g. LSP), trigger master
data for logistics services, assign logistics resources, ensure
availability of import/ export licenses and certificates, clarify lead
times, prepare for project target agreement (PTA), commit on
handover, consolidate logistics case documentation
Prepare for order (Gate 6/LG600 - -> L*): Check scenario, prepare
Logistics Kickoff, handover to CSC
Supervise, guide & monitor Logistics service execution:
Prepare for order: Ensure master data availability & customer case
materialized for ordering
Manage order (L*): Receive & validate customer purchase order,
enter and schedule Sales Order, confirm customer purchase order
Procurement: Manage Capture Demand, purchase, manage receipt,
verify invoice
Manage inventory: Count inventory, handle excess material,
characterize stock
Distribute: Ship, plan transportation, verify freight cost and invoice,
manage transport
Execute service: Monitor and control, create Service Order
Invoice: Manage and validate invoice
Collect cash ( - L900): Contribute to dispute solving with customer
e.g. : Orchestrate for effectiveness and efficiency (cost/margin, time,
quality, customer satisfaction), prioritize operational work , solve
constraints (e.g. escalations from CSC, bottleneck and SoX
compliance issues,), track allover customer ‘s purchase order
execution status and CT’s inventory; drive continuous e2e
improvements based e.g. on best practice sharing, performance
monitoring and reports
CT Demand Volume Planning: the detailed demand planning
responsibilities are part of CSM job profile but within the process role
CT Demand Planner
Options & exceptions: Mandatory regional characteristics or from
mode of operation guidance , e.g. merge of CSM & CSC roles or CSM
& Customer Team Demand Manager
