The Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the communications mandate for National Geographic, Nat Geo Wild and Fox Life across digital (owned and bought) and PR (corporate & consumer)
- Ownership of strategy, planning and execution for all digital campaigns – organic & bought
- Design and Implement annual and tactical PR strategy and campaigns for the network
- Leading Trade Marketing initiatives to drive brand and content communication for the network through campaigns, activations, events, etc.
- Responsible for managing external agencies – Digital, PR & Events
- Develop and execute 360 degree digital and communication strategy to augment and accelerate National Geographic communities through online marketing (Social Media, Affiliate)
- Roll out the new and creative growth strategies to grow overall audience & engagement on National Geographic social media
- Develop creative campaigns, to ensure we are developing the most engaging & cutting edge content for our platforms.
- Collaboration with key stakeholders:
- Internal teams: Product & Brand Strategy, Programming, Ad-sales, Creative Services
- External: Press, Digital Influencers, Key Advertisers
- Understanding and implementation of Brand Planning and Architecture in alignment with the global guidelines
- 10-12 years of demonstrable experience in driving PR, communication and digital campaigns
- Experience of tracking and measuring integrated marketing campaigns
- A background in brand development and communication
- A strong understanding of digital media
- Ability to work with multiple internal stakeholders
- Ability to partner with and manage external agencies
- Needs to have a keen understanding of audience behavior and show an ability to draw actionable insights from it
- Understanding of Content and Consumer Groups
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent Team management and people relationship skills
- Experience with a creative agency is a plus
