What’s the Job?
The Global Marketing Intern is a key member of the ghd new product development and communications team and is responsible for supporting company growth through assisting the development and commercialisation of the latest innovation.
The Global Marketing Intern will do this through a combination of responsibility for administration, research and project management required as part of the development of new products, as well as assisting the design and delivery of the marketing toolkits required to activate NPD launches and deploy at a global level. The Global Marketing Intern will report into the Global Marketing Manager responsible for the ghd styler category.
What will I do?
Product Development:
- Assisting the Global Marketing Manager to deliver NPD projects across the styler category and key promotions such as Christmas
- Helping coordinate consumer testing - from planning, observing, writing up results and any ad hoc administrative requests
- Supporting the creation of new product concepts from analysis of the beauty and tech industries
- Being a key contact with the global markets on product queries and new projects
- Having full responsible for all packaging artwork development on the styler category – creating copy docs, co-ordinating the copy approval process across all functions, managing translations and amends, ensuring final copy is fully signed off and implemented:
- Maintain all copy files and ensure excellent version control; maintain a copy library for each category to ensure all copy information is easy to access in one place.
- Attend weekly packaging meetings and studio team meetings and work closely with the packaging project manager and studio team to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Assist Product Managers with their packaging projects at peak periods
Communication and Go to Market:
- Assist the coordination and planning of Campaign shoots for the styler category
- Assist global toolkit deployments to markets, ensuring all final assets are saved centrally and supporting their deployment coherently and on time to the markets
- Be a key contact with the global markets in assisting with ad-hoc requests – sending files, following up with queries
- Support in the creation of key Presentations to Management team and markets
Market Intelligence:
- Developing and reviewing trend reports, summarising and relaying relevant findings to the Marketing team
- Analyzing the styler category on a worldwide basis:
- Conducting and upkeeping competitor reports
- Upkeeping pricing trackers
- Monitoring Social media trends
Budget processing
- Raise all Purchase orders for the Global Marketing team in Exchequer system
- Up-keep the budget tracker providing regular updates to the Global Marketing Manager, key to the management of the total Global Marketing spend.

Qualifications
- Educated to degree level, ideally in English or Marketing
- Proficient Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and web based/ social media applications
- Studied a Marketing, Business Studies, Business Management or Business related degree
